Aboard the Ship Augusta

West we Ride, Sailing on the tide
Ulster we never more shall see
Sailing away, to far Amerikay
Aboard the ship Augusta

Chorus:

Far we shall roam, From Ireland our home
Two hundred forty seven souls
In three weeks time, We'll reach the other side
Never more to return

We'll see no more, That misty emerald shore
Leaving all we have known
We depart, with sad and heavy heart
Aboard the ship Augusta

Chorus

Tossed on the waves, for some an early grave
Storms and death upon the sea
But we survive by keeping hope alive
Aboard the ship Augusta

Chorus

We trust our fate, To new lands that await
We'll make a life across the sea
With Horse and plow, we make our fortune now
In America we will be.

Chorus
